I recently went through this with Ford. My daily driver is a Ford Escape Hybrid. The cooling fans, which are located in the high voltage battery pack assembly, failed. They were clearly covered (IMO) by Ford's unique hybrid component warranty of 10 years, 100,000 miles in my state. The local dealership was denying warranty coverage claiming the fans were not covered. When I contacted Ford Customer Care I had 4 actual, documented case numbers of people who were identically situated and ultimately had the fans covered (a $700 repair) by Ford corporate. Ford's CSR's ALL stated a decision in any other case had zero impact on mine, everything was done on a case-by-case basis). I ultimately prevailed, but it had NOTHING to do with those documented cases.
